Whistleblowing system

Reporting an action contrary to the Limagrain Code of Conduct or the law.

Principle

As part of its activities, Limagrain interacts with many parties in a large number of countries and seeks to conduct its activities according to law and in compliance with its own ethical principles formalized in its Code of Conduct. Each person, whether employee, provider, or partner, can report a situation that may be contrary to these principles. To this end, Limagrain has implemented a whistleblowing system that guarantees that the reporting and processing of the disclosure will remain confidential (identity of the whistleblower and people mentioned, description of the facts, personal data, etc.). Here are the main aspects:

Which situations, related to Limagrain’s activities, may be subject to a report?

  • Any situation or conduct contrary to the Limagrain Code of Conduct;
  • Any situation that may represent a crime or offence, a violation or attempt to dissimulate a violation of law or regulation, or a threat or damage to the public interest.

Who can report a disclosure?

The originator of the report is called the “whistleblower.” He/She must be a legal person, in good faith, and not gain any financial benefit from this disclosure. It could be an employee, board member, trainee, shareholder, former employee, applicant, external or occasional collaborator of the Group (temp, provider, subcontractor, supplier, customer) or any other third party.

What protections are afforded to the whistleblower?

The whistleblower is afforded the protections guaranteed by the applicable regulation. Limagrain agrees to not sanction, discharge, or discriminate against any employee due to a report sent in good faith and dealing with the facts relevant to the whistleblowing system’s field of application. However, any abusive use of the system may expose the originator to sanctions or prosecution.

Our whistleblowing system is compliant with the regulation on personal data, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Limagrain, in its capacity as processing manager, processes personal data filled in on the form available to you and/or as part of the collection and processing of any report made using its system. In accordance with the personal data protection regulation, any whistleblower has the right to access, correct, challenge, or delete his/her data as well as the right to limit processing.
